The IPPC Secretariat is pleased to announce that letters of invitation for IPPC contact points to attend the 3rd IPPC Global Symposium on ePhyto have been posted at https://www.ippc.int/en/ephyto/ephyto-symposia/3rd-global-symposium-on-ephyto-kuala-lampur-malaysia-22-26-january-2018/.
The symposium is hosted by the IPPC Secretariat, the Asia Pacific Plant Protection Commission and the governments of Malaysia and Australia will take place from 22-26 January 2018 at the Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

Yesterday, on 14 September letters were distributed to all NPPOs inviting them to participate in the ePhyto Business Model Survey. This survey will help the Secretariat determine the best business model for the ePhyto Solution project. The Secretariat kindly requests all NPPOs to participate in the survey.
The East Africa Grain Council and International Grain Trade Coalition is hosting the 7th African Grain Trade Summit (AGTS) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania from 5-7 October 2017. The AGTS is a biennial high-level, internationally-recognized grain industry conference that brings together important state and non-state grain sector stakeholders from across the African continent and beyond for discussions about key issues and emerging trends in the grain sector on the continent. During the Summit the hosts will also hold a short session on ePhyto. More information may be found at the AGTS website.
The Regional International Organization for Plant Protection and Animal Health (OIRSA) and the Taiwanese International Cooperation and Development Fund have developed a course on integrated management of Citrus Greening Disease, also known as Huanglongbing (HLB). The course aims to develop participants’ technical, biosecurity and relevant technological capacities to manage HLB using an integrated approach and ensure the healthy production of citrus.
