The XIX International Plant Protection Congress will be held in Hyderabad, India, from 10 to 14 November 2019. Organized by the International Association for Plant Protection Sciences (IAPPS), ICRISAT and the Crop Protection Societies in India, the 2019 Congress programme of events aims to address emerging key issues in crop and plant protection. International Year of Plant Health (IYPH 2020) will be one of the topic of the Congress.

The IPPC Secretariat has recently issued an online questionnaire to contracting parties (CPs) developed by the IPPC Sea Containers Task Force to facilitate the implementation of the Sea Containers Complementary Action Plan for Assessing and Managing the Pest Threats Associated with Sea Containers, endorsed by CPM-12.

It is reviewed by the Technical Panel of the Glossary and published every three years.

The International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) Secretariat is soliciting nominations for appropriately qualified experts to take part in the Expert Working Group (EWG) for Focused revision of ISPM 12 (Phytosanitary certificates) in relation to re-export (2015-011), which is tentatively scheduled for 9-13 December 2019 in Rome, Italy.
Nominations are due 15 May 2019.
